Last week we talked about the pros and cons of ed2go, an online educational system with many subjects to choose from, that lets you work at your own pace. Today, let's talk about CreativeLive. My daughter, the photographer, introduced me to CreativeLive a couple months ago and it has been love since first video. They have a variety of classes for creatives (photographers, artists, bloggers, writers... AKA...us :) ) including marketing. Go to their site and click on the 'On the Air' button. This takes you to a page that shows which classes are being shown free that day. Scroll down and look at the calendar of up coming free classes. If one strikes your fancy, RSVP to save your spot. These classes usually are prerecorded and run for 24 hours starting at 9 a.m. Pacific Time and you can sign up for as many free classes as you are interested in. The down side is since it is prerecorded, you cannot ask questions, but through these classes I've been introduced to several knowledgeable instructors, and participants, who could lead you to the answer you are seeking.
CreativeLive classes are taught by knowledgeable instructors who live what they teach, giving you up to date information. The cost of each class affordable, anywhere from $40- $199 and they frequently offer reduced rates. If you do choose to purchase a class, you have 24/7 access to the videos, workbooks, and any special bonus material offered by the instructor.
